England has won four Tests in a row by chasing over 250 runs. The team has won
one of the seventeen matches in a row, now it has won four matches in a row. England cricket has
changed with the touch of former Kiwi legend Brendon McCullum.
There is a lot of discussion going on in the cricket arena, especially about England's buzzball
policy. The word buzzball comes from the nickname 'buzz' of the explosive opener McCullum and
the combination of England's aggressive cricket after he became the coach. But Smith is
skeptical about the future of England's Tests.
On the other hand, at the SENWA Breakfast Show with Adam Gilchrist, McCullum shared his thoughts
on England's Test style and the 2023 Ashes series. He said, "Somewhere in a feed I saw comments
about Buzzball. It is true that when the Kiwis play against Australia, it will not be an easy
task. It will challenge our process. I think it's going to be a challenge to what we can achieve
and it's going to be very exciting. "
The coach added that Australia is going to be a different kind of challenge in their history at
the Ashes and in the competition against England. He is confident that his boys will have a very
positive attitude. He believes the way the boys have chased down runs in the last few matches
shows that there was a lot of confidence behind it.
The former Kiwi batsman added: "I don't like the way people look at Buzzball as a fool. There
were some plans behind the way the boys performed in the last few matches. They put pressure on
the bowlers. Sometimes they handled the pressure very well."
